DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nHeld on Mondays, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Mountain Time, Oct. 18, 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 2021\n\n\n\n\nThe downfall of human society, said French biologist Jean-Baptiste Lamarck, will stem from our disconnect with the world around us. More recently, Albert Einstein noted, “The field is the only reality.” Like the scientists, poets, too, have been exploring this concept for centuries—how do we connect the world around us? Our survival depends on the answer— all the more reason to be paying attention! In this five-week poetry series we’ll read poems that create connections between outer landscapes (the world of experiences) and inner landscapes (the realm of emotions, ideas and questions). Then we’ll write poems of our own, building our own bridges between the world and the self. What kind of impact can this awareness have on our lives? How might we carry this awareness with us as we engage in the world?\nHosted online by Well for the Journey\n
