DESCRIPTION: \nMay 2, 5:30 p.m. Telluride Arts HQ East\n \nLocal poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer will read and perform from her new poetry collection All the Honey at Telluride Arts HQ East on Tuesday May 2, at 5:30 p.m. Co-hosted by Telluride Arts, Telluride Bookstore, Wilkinson Public Library and Talking Gourds, the event is free. The book is available the night of the reading and at the Telluride Bookstore for $15.\nThis is Trommer’s thirteenth collection of poetry (eleven books and two albums). She served as San Miguel County’s first poet laureate and was selected as the third Colorado Western Slope Poet Laureate. Her poetry has appeared on A Prairie Home Companion, PBS News Hour, O Magazine and on Carnegie Hall stage. Her collection Hush won the Halcyon Prize. Naked for Tea was a finalist for the Able Muse Book Award. Her new daily audio series, The Poetic Path, can be found on your phone on the Ritual app, her daily poetry practice can be read on her blog, A Hundred Falling Veils, and she co-hosts the popular creative process podcast, Emerging Form.\nThe reading will open with guitar music by Warren Gilbreath. An Assistant Manager at Telluride Music Company, Gilbreath has been living and playing music in Telluride since 2016. He is a multi-instrumentalist, creating music solo and as a collaborator in a variety of styles and bands. Local student poets John Pumayalli and Skylar Borof will each read a poem to start.\n \n \n \n \n
