SUMMARY:Grace in Transition with Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer
DESCRIPTION:I’m looking forward to offering a three-week online playshop with The Sanctuary this winter—an exploration of how poetry can help us weave the sacred and the everyday into one seamless, living practice.\nYou can get tickets and find out more information here. ( https://www.sanctuary.ie/courses/grace-in-transition-poetry-as-a-bridge-between-the-everyday-the-sacred )\n!!!!(Note: For those attending in the US: sessions will be 1-3 MT on 10/30 and 12- 2 pm MT on 11/6 and 11/13. This is due to our clock change happening a week after Europe)\nA detailed description below:\nEver found yourself cursing the driver in front of you on your way to yoga—or struggling to feel gratitude while scrubbing someone else’s dishes? How do we bridge the gap between our contemplative practice and the grit of daily life?\nPoetry can be that bridge. Reading and writing poems together helps us cultivate curiosity, compassion, and reflection. In this process-centered playshop, we’ll explore how poems can connect us to the holy and the ordinary, to joy and frustration, to wonder and grief.\nAcross three weeks, we’ll play with:\n\n\nMeeting the blank page with playfulness\n\n\nWriting past what we “know” into discovery\n\n\nAsking open, honest questions that invite deeper process\n\n\nMeeting creative “stuckness” with compassion\n\n\nListening for the next true thing instead of forcing what’s “good”\n\n\nWeaving the sacred and the everyday into a single poem\n\n\nFinding joy in the process itself\n\n\nTurning toward what frightens or frustrates us with courage\n\n\nCultivating our ears—perhaps even more than our voice\n\n\nSharing in small groups will be optional; you may also stay in the main room to listen or converse about process.\n \n
