On August 10, 2020, Stubborn Praise co-hosts Rosemerry and James Crews featured Alison Luterman, celebrating her newest collection of poems, In the Time of Great Fires, which won the Catamaran Poetry Prize. This free event was hosted by SHYFT at Mile High, whose mission is to provide all people, regardless of ability to pay, with classes and programs proven to reduce stress, heal trauma, and create connection.
After the reading is a conversation about finding the poem in the every day and how the poets are finding grounding in a time of upheaval.
