In Honor of RBG

I was somewhat surprised how moved I was by the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg–what an amazing gift she gave us with her work with the ACLU and her dedication to creating equal rights for women in the Constitution. And how powerfully she changed the world–with patience, never raising her voice, persistence and ferocity. I feel such profound loss, and I’m also galvanized, as I write in this poem, which was selected for Rattle’s Poet’s Respond.
