Book Cliffs Poetry Festival in Grand Junction, CO
The Art Center of Western Colorado and the Telluride Institute’s Talking Gourds Poetry Program are hosting the first Book Cliffs Poetry Festival featuring performances, award ceremonies, an afternoon lecture, a morning playground (aka workshop), an open mic and regional poetry program tables.
In the event’s premiere performances Wendy Videlock of Palisade will be handing over the two-year Western Slope Poet Laureate (WeSPoL) title to Danny Rosen of Lithic Bookstore and Press in Fruita. Several past laureates will join them in featured readings, including Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer of Placerville and Art Goodtimes of Wrights Mesa.
VENUE: The Art Center, 1803 N. 7 th St., Grand Junction, CO
COST AT THE DOOR: $50 for the entire festival | $20 for the five individual shows. (Half-price for high school and college student and seniors 75 +)
