Book Launch – Meditations on Life – a Tuesday Circle Anthology

It’s a thrill that three of my students, Mary Simmerling, Sue Mapel and Denise Jessup, joined creative forces to create an anthology of poems written by the students in my Tuesday Circle, a group that has gathered every other Tuesday for a year and a half. Meditations on Life gathers poems of grief, belonging, and renewal. The collection is organized into four sections — Gathering and Belonging; Loss, Remembering and Grief; Transformation and Emergence; and Praise, Presence, and Spiritual Inquiry — and invites readers into a community of writers reflecting on what it means to live with sorrow, joy, and wonder. The launch will feature selected readings by contributors. I am wildly delighted to share this special group’s work with the world—not just their stunning poems, but also the deep respect and love they have for each other that shines through every time they gather.
