Keeping the Heart Open: A Meditation and Poetry Retreat for Challenging Times
These are trying times – for humans as individuals and as a collective whole. How do we stay grounded and present? What is our relationship to change? Where do we find stability? What is the role of tenderness in our interactions with others and with ourself? Join dharma teacher Susie Harrington and poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer for a two-day online retreat in which, through silence and through language, we bring wonder to our experience. Specifically, we’ll explore stability and tenderness and how to keep our hearts open – even when it feels almost impossible. During this retreat, there will be meditation instruction, guided meditations, silent sitting and walking meditation. Poetry practice will be woven into our days, with periods of instruction, time to write, and time to share what we have written and discovered. This combination of silence and discovery can be a magical process that leads us deep into ourselves and into the world. No previous experience in meditation or poetry is required to participate.
