Saturday, February 21, 2026 1:00-4:00 (EST)
Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian Church

Where in your life do you see yourself resisting the world as it is? How might the practice of Writing poems help us show up to the world and meet our most challenging moments with curiosity, wonder and creativity?
Join poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer in a poetic exploration of resistance, surrender, letting go and letting be. We’ll read poems and converse about them, plus write our own poems and optionally share what we wrote. We’ll talk about process, perspective, and how play is an integral part of a practice.
All levels of experience welcome—from haven’t-written-a-poem-since-seventh-grade-English to Pulitzer Prize winners. Bring something to write with and on, bring your willingness and unwillingness, bring a friend, bring your delight and bring your shadow. Let’s play.
FREE (with donations accepted) * Space is limited and registration is required.
