The Voice of the Living Light: A Feast Day Celebration of Hildegard of Bingen
The 12th century mystic Hildegard of Bingen has been described as “a Renaissance woman before the Renaissance.” Composer, artist, botanist, theologian, natural scientist, healer, abbess and preacher, she was counselor to Kings and a prophetic voice who challenged Emperors and the Pope. Join cultural historian Kayleen Asbo and poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer for a two-hour celebration of this extraordinary woman. We will honor her remarkable life and creations then enter into creative writing prompts to draw us closer to her extraordinary and courageous spirit.
