Now that I have been utterly splayed by loss myself, I hear the poem and song in a new way, and it completely completely wrecks and opens me. I love the way Paul conveys both the muddle of loss and the rising of new life after loss. I love how he makes ghosts of the lines linger. And this choir. This choir.  What a gift to have this song and these words meet me again with their promise …
