On July 9, 2025, Rosemerry joined the Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County for their Soul Care Speaker Series.
After losing a family member or loved one, grief can touch every part of our lives. Loss changes us. It also becomes a gateway for a growing fluency with love and paradox. How do we show up for all this grief and grace, ache and devotion, fear and wonder? Though interactive, this isn’t a writing class. During this program, Rosemerry shares poems from her books The Unfolding and All the Honey. She offers writing invitations and leads conversation about process and how a creative writing practice helps us meet the tender, threshold space we inhabit during grief. Specifically she explores how words fail us and then how writing poems can help support our receptivity, enhance our curiosity, and help us find compassion for ourselves and others.
